Line over London

Line over London was a one-day ‘Landmark’ project based on the roof of the Hayward Gallery and was part of the South Bank Summer Jazz Festival. It was commissioned as part of the South Weekend Jazz weekend in July 1984. Consisting of 1000 meters on bright red polythene tubing and over 4500 cubic feet of balloon gas the idea was to physically draw I line over the River Thames. 

The team consisted of Helen Marriage, Peter Kosminsky, Cathy Courtney, Chris Neale, Sue and Chris Hobday, Joanna Littlejohns and many others.
