Found Art Series

2017 – on-going

I see my role in the Found Art Series as a go-between, much like Marcel Duchamp was with his Readymades. They contribute to a series of visual comments man-made, unconsciously or accidently, or made naturally by chance existing only momentarily in the world around us; visual remnants that so often are ignored or not even seen. As John Cage said, ‘Everybody can hear but not everybody knows how to listen’ - so, everyone can see but do they look? The Found Art Series is an on-going photo-notebook project in its own right but also informs other work, acting as a kind of visual sounding board.
