Hornsey College of Art 1973-76
The Badminton Suite at Alexander Palace, Muswell Hill, in North London was home to the Fine Art Department. All students worked together in a vast central hall with specialist workshops feeding off from this main area. There was no division of year groups, and no division of disciplines – in fact as a student you were encouraged to move freely between all areas, including a new area called 4D. This is where I naturally gravitated, and this open, multi-disciplinary approach significantly help shape and inform my understanding of the subject from that point onwards.
