Line over London

Line over London was a one-day ‘landmark’ project. Realised on the roof tops of the Hayward Gallery it was commissioned by the Southbank Centre to help support and promote their Weekend Jazz Festival in July 1984. Consisting of 1000 meters of bright red polythene tubing and over 4500 cubic feet of balloon gas the ‘line’ was visible across the whole of the capital.

The team consisted of Helen Marriage, Peter Kosminsky, Cathy Courtney, Chris Neale, Sue and Chris Hobday, Joanna Littlejohns and many others.
