Tide Lines
A thin coat of watercolour paint is applied to individual pieces of paper. These pieces of paper are then placed on the beach, ahead of the incoming tide. As the sea climbs slowly up the beach it starts to wash over parts of the paper leaving behind a record of that moment in time. These works are a balance of chance and order while conceptually playing with the whole tradition of painting wet on wet watercolour seascapes.
